Through a lens of joy(fulness), Deidre explores the creation, curation, and communication of constructed spaces via the aesthetic, perceptual, and socio-spatial dimensions of cities.  She has developed an urban design framework and contextual strategies [analogue + digital; temporary + permanent] that maximizes sensory and social inclusion and experiences — particularly, through environmental colour applications.

One of her published works includes her graduate thesis, titled Designing Inclusive Playscapes Across Sensory + Socio-Spatial Boundaries.
